Chantel Bennett

Hey Everyone,
My name is Chantel, I am 35 and proud Wife and Mama! I have been married for almost 15 years to my best friend, Ron Bennett who is my biggest supporter and not only encourages me to achieve my dreams and fullest potential but helps me make it happen!
We have 5 amazing kids! Torri is 18, Wayden is forever 13, Wyatt is 13, Juliette is 12, and Rosalynn is 11.
I homeschool Torri, Wyatt, Juliette, and Rosalynn as well as work a fulltime job in nursing!
I am the oldest of 5, and I grew up baking for our big family from the age of 10, and then by 12, I was baking for my family’s church. I have always dreamed of having my own bakery, and with Bennett Cottage Bakery, my dreams are finally becoming reality! It brings me such pride and joy to see others savor the foods I create!
Life has been really hard the last 2 years after losing our beautiful SONshine, Wayden. He was killed by a drunk driver in a pedestrian hit & run October 1st, 2022. Wayden was also an Organ Donor and saved 6 lives with his selfless donation. I will always advocate for Organ Donation and against drunk driving to honor my son, as well as share his story. To honor Wayden, I donate 13% (since he is Forever 13) of all of my sales to Wayden’s Warriors Foundation. For more of his story, please check out Wayden’s Warriors on Facebook.
We relocated from Northern IN where we lived the majority of our lives, to Pinellas County FL in hopes of a fresh start to heal and to find peace… and hoped for some sort of happiness after such devastation.
We love spending time together as a family, especially if it is a day at the beach!
I started this sourdough journey because I was intrigued… then it soon became clear to me this was something more than just something to try… this is something that brings me great happiness and joy! Something I have struggled to find the last 2 years…
